Im Zentrum des zweiten Forschungsgespräches zum 30jährigen ABC-Schütz steht die Musik, die Wenzel Müller zum Text von Carl Friedrich Hensler im Jahre 1799 komponierte und die für den großen Erfolg des Werkes von großer Bedeutung war. Im Rahmen des Projektes zum 30jährigen ABC-Schütz werden sowohl alle Textversionen ediert und kommentiert als auch die bislang kaum berücksichtigten Partituren aus Frankfurt am Main, München, Prag und Wien behandelt; in welcher Form das erfolgt, wird im Rahmen des Forschungsgespräches geklärt. Die Partituren bieten die Möglichkeit, die Frage der Komik der Version von Hensler und Müller aus einer neuen Perspektive zu diskutieren, wodurch es möglich sein sollte, den Erfolg, der sich allein aufgrund des Librettos nur schwer nachvollziehen lässt, zu erklären.

Im dritten Forschungsgespräch zum 30jährigen ABC-Schütz werden mehrere Punkte, die in Graz am 22. Jänner angesprochen wurden, näher behandelt. Sämtliche Partituren zum Stück sind mittlerweile digitalisiert, die Edition ist weiter fortgeschritten, und so ist es nun möglich, sowohl die konkrete Arbeit am Material zu beleuchten als auch allgemein Fragen zum Verhältnis Musik und Text im Wiener Volkstheater zu diskutieren. Der Tanz, ein weiterer bedeutender Aspekt der Aufführungen des 30jährigen ABC-Schütz, ist ebenfalls Thema. Darüber hinaus wird der Fund eines bislang unbekannten Zensurexemplars zum Anlass genommen, auf die Theaterzensur im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert einzugehen.

Informationsmodellierung: Präsentation und Analyse theaterhistorischer Objekte und Daten

In Kooperation mit dem
Institut für Germanistik der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz

 

Gegenwärtig werden zur Sicherung bzw. Speicherung des kulturellen Erbes europaweit große Summen in Projekte zur Digitalisierung und Anreicherung von Digitalisaten mit Metadaten investiert. Damit derartige Unternehmen keine Datenfriedhöfe zum Ergebnis haben und auch eine wissenschaftliche Aufarbeitung ermöglicht wird, ist es sowohl notwendig, bei den Datenformaten internationale Standards zu berücksichtigen, als auch den Import und Export der Daten so einfach wie möglich zu gestalten. Diesen hohen Ansprüchen zu entsprechen ist für eine theaterhistorische Forschungsinstitution ohne die Zusammenarbeit mit Spezialisten kaum möglich. Das Grazer Zentrum für Informationsmodellierung in den Geisteswissenschaften hat auf diesem Gebiet langjährige Erfahrung und könnte der geeignete Kooperationspartner zur Realisierung von Projekten zur Präsentation und Analyse von theaterhistorischen Objekten und Daten sein.

Hubert Stigler vom Zentrum für Informationsmodellierung in den Geisteswissenschaften (Graz) referiert über die Möglichkeiten mehrschichtiger digitaler Editionen, Daniel Schopper stellt anhand seiner online-Edition des 30-jährigen ABC-Schütz ein Beispiel einer solchen zur Diskussion. Bei großen Textmengen, die in Form von Editionen nicht zu bewältigen sind, bietet sich das Medium der digitalen Bibliothek an, um das Material praktisch aufzubereiten. Margot J.
